It is always a welcome surprise to see a new Clegg album, or in the case of “King of Time”, an EP. He remains the only artist from South Africa in my vast music collection. “King of Time”, I felt, was a return to form. A return to the Savuka sounds I started with. The title track is likely the best song here, and possibly the best song he has done in years. The rest of the EP is almost as good, though. If you are a fan, like I am, you shouldn’t hesitate in buying this EP.
