Paul Simon made this group famous worldwide when he had them backing his Graceland album in 1986. Prior to that many people had never heard the sounds of Soweto or the extremely tight harmonies of Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

Journey of Dreams has Simon’s fingerprints all over it. I say that in a very good way. He not only appreciates LBM but understands what they are doing. This 13 song disc, produced and originally released in ’88 on Warner Brothers, is a testament to Township music. The more you listen to it, the better this disc becomes. Having had it close to 30 years now, I am STILL not tired of it.

LBM is probably one of the best known groups which promotes harmony from all sides.
